The 10th OktalEduka was held in Poreč from 3 to 5 May 2018, attracting a record number of pharmacists and sponsors.
Seventeen lectures were held over the course of three days, presenting numerous current topics of interest for pharmacists in their everyday business. In addition to a great amount of the latest medical information and practical guidelines important for day-to-day pharmacy business practice, this year, the Question Time with Ana Soldo, MPharm, President of the Croatian Chamber of Pharmacists, gave pharmacists the opportunity to get informed about the strategic guidelines for the development of the pharmacy business, the particulars related to the new GDPR regulation, serialisation, the direction in which pharmacy services are currently evolving, and the position of the Croatian Chamber of Pharmacists as the professional organisation that represents the pharmacy profession and the pharmacy business in the Republic of Croatia.Ivan Klobučar, MPharm, CEO of Oktal Pharma, addressed the participants with his welcome speech, touching upon the initial idea for OktalEduka and the long-term efforts expended in its evolution into a renowned professional conference for pharmacists.
In the effort to provide participants with as many diverse and educational topics as possible, the lecture entitled “Personality Scanner”, held by Mr. Davor Bilman in a very casual and charismatic manner, proved to be an excellent choice.
As in previous years, the Commission for the Professional Training of Masters of Pharmacy at the Croatian Chamber of Pharmacists awarded points to passive and active participants of this year’s OktalEduka.
We are proud to say that the compliments of participants were the greatest reward for all the effort expended in organising the conference, and they are also fantastic encouragement to make the next OktalEduka even better so that it not only justifies the confidence shown to us by all the previous participants, but also attracts new ones.
