Enterosgel®
Enterosgel® is an oral intestinal adsorbent (enterosorbent) that has the ability to adsorb toxines and harmful substances (e.g. endotoxins, enterotoxins) in the digestive system, bind them to its surface and reduce stool frequency and the diarrhoea duration.
Enterosgel® is expelled from the body during the bowel movement, thus eliminating the adsorbed toxins and harmful substances, which is beneficial for the treatment of acute and chronic diarrhoea associated with IBS.
Enterosgel® can be used in adults and children in case of acute diarrhoeal disease (gastroenteritis) and Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhoea (IBS-D).
What is Traveler's Diarrhea?
Traveler’s diarrhea is the most common disease of travelers, affecting 20 – 50 % of them.
The most often it occurs in the first week of staying in a new environment, but it can also occur later or upon returning home.
Risk areas are Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, but it also occurs in any other part of the world.
Symptoms of Traveler's Diarrhea
Traveler’s diarrhea begins abruptly with severe and frequent diarrhea and possible nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, bloating and fever.
It is rarely dangerous, although it can have inconvenient complications, especially in people who have some other associated diseases (immunocompromised, diabetics, people with inflammatory bowel syndrome, chronic patients).
Treatment of Traveler's Diarrhea
