Oktal Pharma is one of the leading national pharmaceutical wholesalers in Croatia. For more than 30 years, we have been ensuring regular, high-quality distribution of drugs, medical products, and other health products to pharmacies, hospitals, public health centres, medical biochemistry laboratories, and opticians.

Oktal Pharma d.o.o. Croatia was founded in 1992 as a privately-owned limited liability company registered for trade and services. It works with roughly 400 local and foreign suppliers and roughly 1,400 customers (pharmacies and specialised shops, drugstores, drug wholesalers, private doctors' offices and clinics, public health centres, hospitals, institutes, and opticians), distributing around 14,000+ various products.

Since 2001, Oktal Pharma has expanded its business activities to the markets of neighbouring countries by establishing branches in Slovenia (OPH Oktal Pharma d.o.o. Ljubljana), Serbia (Oktal Pharma d.o.o. Belgrade), Bosnia and Herzegovina (Oktal Pharma d.o.o. Sarajevo), Hungary (Oktal Pharma Hungary Kft. Budapest) and Northern Macedonia (Oktal Pharma DOOEL import-export Skopje), thus strengthening export activities within the Oktal Pharma Group.

The Oktal Pharma group also operates the Vaše zdravlje pharmacy chain, with 42 individual pharmacies that make significant contributions to the company's overall business results.
 
The company continuously invests in developing its logistics capacities, technologies, processes, and employees in accordance with trends in the pharmaceutical industry in order to offer the most efficient, best service to users, partners, and supply chain partners. 
   
In order to ensure the continuity of high quality business and environmental protection according to the demands and expectations of its business partners, customers, suppliers, patients, healthcare workers, employees, and all other stakeholders, Oktal Pharma has developed and implemented an integrated quality system according to the HRN EN ISO 9001:2015 and HRN EN ISO 14001:2015 norms, as well as good manufacturing practices in the production and sales of medicines and medical products.

Oktal Pharma actively participates in developing the pharmaceutical and medical product supply chain in Croatia, and as one of Croatia's leading pharmaceutical wholesalers, it has implemented all business and organisational changes necessary to receive DDP/GDP and DPP/GMP cetificates. On the basis of this achievement, it became a member of the European Healthcare Distribution Association registered with the European Medicines Agency (EudraGMDP – EMA).

Since its founding, Oktal Pharma has developed partnerships with international pharmaceutical companies, to whom it offers marketing and sales services, including market research, product registration, promotional activities, warehousing and distribution services, and other logistics and administrative services in accordance with their needs.

In addition to its wholesale distribution activities, Oktal Pharma Croatia represents more than thirty pharmaceutical companies from Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hungary and Northern Macedonia. In cooperation with its business partners, it distributes a wide range of drugs, medical products, cosmetics, OTCs, and other human health products to customers in both Croatia and the greater region.

Ivan Klobučar MPharm, ​Ec.S.Econ.Spec President of the Board

Graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, but his affinity for the sales sector resulted in his interest for economics, so in 2012 he graduated from the postgraduate professional university studies at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Zagreb. Employed at Oktal Pharma d.o.o. since 1996, by 2008 he had worked from the ground up through the entire sales process – from working as a professional telephone sales agent, a sales associate, the Director of Sales, to becoming the Executive Director. He was a member of the Board of Directors from 2008 to 2017 when he was appointed President of the Board.
Responsibility: Oktal Pharma d.o.o. - Sales, Operations, Procurement, Human Resources, Digital Business, Investments.

Vlatko Perić LL.B, M.S. Member of the Board

Graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Zagreb and passed the bar examination. Finished MBA studies at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Zagreb. Since 2000 he has been a member of the Board of Oktal Pharma, responsible for various business segments including, but not limited to, import/export, consignment, representation portfolio and affiliated companies. 
Responsibility: Oktal Pharma d.o.o. - Representations, Quality, Legal affairs; Oktal Pharma Slovenia; Oktal Pharma Bosnia and Herzegovina; Oktal Pharma Serbia; Oktal Pharma North Macedonia.

Mladen Grubišić B.Sc.Econ. Member of the Board
After working many years as a self-employed engineer in IT, he made a major career change opting for finance and accounting after acquiring the vocation of authorised auditor in 1995. Being employed at Oktal Pharma since 1997 as Director of Finance and Accounting enabled him to pursue professional training and further expand his knowledge of finance and accounting. Takeovers and acquisitions, mergers and consolidations, business valuation, due diligence and financial restructuring - are only some of the activities he is involved in. He has been a member of the Management Board since 2018.

Marijan Škiljević MPharm Management Board Advisor
Graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry at the University of Zagreb. Employed at Oktal Pharma d.o.o. since 1995, he has held various posts – from Commercial Director, member of the Board, Chairman of the Board, to his current post of Advisor to the Board.

DIVISIONS

Executive directors successfully run the Purchasing, Sales, Operations and Representations divisions. As effective managers with modern management skills, they are focused on achieving company goals and improving the quality of operations.

Boris Marušić B.Sc.Econ. Director of Purchasing
Graduated in Finance from the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Zagreb. Employed at Oktal Pharma d.o.o. since 2003, he was the Director of the Split Branch Office until 2013 when he was appointed Director of Purchasing. He is responsible for the procurement of goods for resale, namely for business activities involving suppliers of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, medical equipment, over-the-counter medicinal products, dietary supplements, and cosmetics, as well as for foreign trade. Furthermore, he is in charge of the business activities related to central and public procurement.
Ante Skorić B.Sc. (Pol. Sc.) Director of Sales
Graduated from the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Zagreb. Employed at Oktal Pharma since 2005, he was a Business Unit Manager in the Representations Department until 2009 when he was appointed Branch Office Director in the Sales Department. In 2013 he was appointed Director of Sales, assuming the responsibility for business organisation and sales of goods to pharmacies, hospitals, specialised stores, polyclinics, surgeries, and opticians in the Republic of Croatia.
Krešimir Veselko B.Sc.Econ., MBA Director of Operations
Graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Zagreb where he also obtained his Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration. Employed at Oktal Pharma d.o.o. since 2007, he was appointed Director of Operations in 2014. He is in charge of strategic planning and operational oversight of IT, transport, warehousing, production and validation&qualification Department.
 
Ksenija Sokol MPharm Director of Representations
Graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry at the University of Zagreb. She was appointed Director of Representations in 2017, after having worked in the pharmaceutical industry in marketing and sales, collaborating with pharmaceutical institutions and patient associations, including digital initiatives. She is responsible for the representation of pharmaceutical companies in Croatia, namely for product registration and pharmacovigilance, marketing and sales, the development of the representations portfolio in Croatia and the region as well as digital transformation projects.

The company has been focused on expanding the assortment of products and transforming the company into a modern pharmaceutical wholesaler with integrated full-service distribution. After establishing branch offices in Split, Rijeka and Osijek, the business operations cover the entire territory of the Republic of Croatia.

Marijana Sumić Horvat M.Pharm. Director of the Split Branch Office
Graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry at the University of Zagreb. Employed in Oktal Pharma since 2004, she was appointed Director of the Split Branch Office in 2013. She is responsible for the overall business activities of the branch office, for the organisation, planning, coordination, and control of all activities and operating processes, as well as for development and collaboration with business partners, and negotiating business terms and conditions.
Zvonimir Žnidaršić B.Sc.Econ. Director of the Rijeka Branch Office
Graduated in entrepreneurship economics from the University of Applied Sciences VERN in Zagreb. Employed at Oktal Pharma since 1997, he was appointed Director of the Rijeka Branch Office in 2001. He is responsible for the overall business activities of the branch office, for the organisation, planning, coordination and control of all activities and operating processes, as well as for development and collaboration with business partners and negotiating business terms and conditions.
Martina Prlić M.Pharm. Director of the Osijek Branch Office
Graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry at the University of Zagreb. Employed at Oktal Pharma since 2001, she is currently the Director of the Osijek Branch Office responsible for the overall business activities of the branch office, for the planning, organisation, coordination and control of activities and operating processes, as well as for the organisation of seminars and promotional lectures. Furthermore, she is in charge of monitoring the development of collaboration with existing and prospective business partners, and of negotiating business terms and conditions.
