The first priority of the development strategy of Oktal Pharma is to improve quality control operations according to the stipulations of the standards of ISO 9001:2000, i.e. even greater responsiveness to the desires and needs of our customers and suppliers, as well as ongoing efforts to improve operations and build a positive image for the company in Croatia and other countries.

It is a great honour and pleasure to announce that Oktal Pharma d.o.o. is the first drug wholesaler in Croatia to receive ISO 14001 certificate. Together with the already obtained ISO 9001 certificate, this completes the establishment of an Integrated quality and environment management (IQEM) system. Certifications were carried out by an internationally recognised company, Det Norske Veritas (DNV). The received ISO certificates are a reward for the past business successes and efforts, but also a stimulus for new achievements, further development in the extremely demanding field of pharmaceutical product distribution, and advancement in environment management.

ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted specification used voluntarily by legal entities. It specifies requirements for the development of an effective environmental management system. On the other hand, ISO 9001 is a standard for the management of quality of services. It engages with all the major fields of activities within a company: supplies, development, testing, warehousing, sales, and distribution, by making sure that all of these processes are carried out under controlled conditions.
